Finally home game again! SC Magdeburg has not played on home soil for two and a half weeks, but now the time has come: On Sunday we will welcome Bergischer HC to the GETEC Arena.

Cairo, Hamburg, Svendborg – SCM has recently scrubbed a few kilometres. All the nicer is the return to the green and red living room, where the team wants to celebrate the next victory with its fans. It would be the 35th competitive game across all competitions and seasons in which the club leaves the field undefeated.

The guests on Sunday (3 p.m. / DYN, Welt.tv) are Bergischer HC, a team that has improved recently. After six defeats at the start, the longed-for success was achieved on Thursday, the newly promoted team won 35-28 against HSG Wetzlar and scored the first league points. Once again, left winger Noah Beyer, who scored eight goals and is the best scorer in the team, played his way to the fore. Midfielder Eloy Morante scored the same number of goals – with a shooting rate of 100 percent.

“We know what our tasks are in the Bundesliga. You can’t afford anything and we have to go into this game focused and very, very attentive,” says coach Bennet Wiegert. Nevertheless, another aspect also has priority for him: “We are happy to finally be able to start at home again. We haven’t had a home game for what feels like an eternity. I hope that we can convey the joy.”
