What makes handball special for you?
It’s just a beautiful sport. Many goals are scored, but the defence can also set decisive accents. Overall, an incredible amount happens on the pitch – that’s exactly what makes the sport so fascinating for me. I’ve been playing for as long as I can remember. Handball is my first love. That’s why I hope that the sport will continue to grow in the future and inspire even more people.

What do most people on the pitch overlook that makes you who you are?
I think the first thing people notice about me is my height. Many ask me what it’s like to be so big. What most people don’t see: In private, I’m a pretty funny guy. I like to spend time with friends, laugh a lot and just enjoy life.
Your tip for young up-and-coming handball players?
You should always believe in yourself and be willing to work on yourself every day. With every workout you get a little better. If you keep at it and have patience, you can achieve your goals and also succeed.
