The SCM YoungsterS have scored their first away win of the season. At DHK Flensborg, the team won confidently with 27:34 (12:17) and thus celebrated the fourth victory in the fifth game of the season.
Similar to last week, the YoungsterS got off to a good start in the game and were able to gain an early lead. With a concentrated performance in attack and defense, the Magdeburgers controlled the game and went into the half-time break with a 17-12 lead. Goalkeeper Oskar Stieglitz in particular was able to prove himself again with strong saves and gave his team additional security.
Even after the change of ends, the YoungsterS did not let up and continued to extend their lead. In the meantime, the Magdeburgers even led by ten goals. The team managed to distribute the forces well over the entire game. Noah Hensen was rewarded with 12 goals with the most goals, while Raphael Welsch also set important accents as a relief. Sebastian Bialas convinced both in attack and defense, while Mats Brigzinsky was also convincing with nine goals.
DHK Flensborg is one of the best defensive teams as an opponent. Coach Christoph Theuerkauf was all the more satisfied after the game: “We are the best attacking team, it was said in the hall. We did justice to the matter.”
In the end, there was a sovereign 27:34 away win for the YoungsterS. With four wins from five games, the Magdeburgers are now in third place in the table, just behind MTV Braunschweig and TSV Altenholz.
After the successful away game, another home game awaits the YoungsterS. On Saturday, October 3, the team will host NHV Concordia Delitzsch. Kick-off is at 7 p.m., admission is free.
