SC Magdeburg wins the dramatic encounter at FC Barcelona 22-21. The reactions and statistics of the game.

Bennet Wiegert: “That was a tough game, very close – both teams fought for everything here. In the end, we’re very happy to take the win here. It was perhaps not the best performance that we showed in attack – especially not in the second half. But in the end, it’s the points that count, and we’ll take them.”

Sergey Hernandez, Man of the Match: “That was a difficult game. A big thank you to my defence, they worked hard and made it easier for me to play like this here today. We fought until the end and it’s something special to win here – for SCM and for me personally.”

Felix Claar: “It’s the first win for the club and also the first win for me. It’s incredible to be able to beat Barcelona in Barcelona. It was a very tough game. Our defence was good – as were both goalkeepers. It was really hard. The attack was not optimal at all, we had big problems and often got stuck. But we balanced it out with the defence.”
