In the first half, we weren’t good enough, especially when it came to finishing, and made too easy mistakes. That continues after the break – until we find our pace and become more effective. Then the team does an incredible job and fights back again. A big compliment for that, my team. Unfortunately, it’s not enough in the end.”
Bennet Wiegert: “I think we played a very, very good handball game over 47 minutes and were very dominant. We need something to absorb the energy, but then we get better and better. For a long time, we have everything under control – and then we lose access. In the end, it’s almost a bit lucky that the last two shots don’t find their way into the goal. So it feels good in the end and I’m happy that we saved it over time.”
Sebastian Barthold: “Today we saw two really good defensive lines and some important saves. It was a low-scoring game, but we tried to bring in some tempo. Plock has so much variety in attack and defense that it was really difficult. All in all, I’m just happy about these two very important points.”
