Still unbeaten in the Daikin Handball Bundesliga! SC Magdeburg wins 24-22 (8-8) at TSV Hannover-Burgdorf on the tenth matchday and goes into the national team break with a win.

Both sides struggled from the start, struggling with missed shots and technical errors. After three minutes and 56 seconds, the first goal was scored, first scored by Hannover before Magdeburg followed suit in the person of Magnus Saugstrup. Since, among other things, two seven-metre shots could not be converted afterwards, the goal yield remained meager. In the 11th minute, Felix Claar scored the 3:2 and thus the first lead.

The game was tough until the break. But thanks to an improving Sergey Hernandez between the posts and several hard-fought time penalties, SCM was able to keep the game balanced – although neither Magdeburg nor Hannover really found their rhythm.

In the second half, the picture changed. The team around coach Bennet Wiegert once again provoked the hosts to a lack of concentration and in return made it 12-9 (38th) with a 4-0 run. In the 46th minute, Daniel Pettersson extended the lead to 18-14. Shortly afterwards, Lukas Mertens increased to plus five (20-15, 48th).

However, nothing was decided yet, because in the 51st minute Hannover closed the gap and reduced the deficit to 20-19. Wiegert took a time-out, sorted his team, but in the end it was TSV who scored the next goal (20-20, 54th). But then SCM pulled away again and saved the victory over the finish line.

With only one minus point, the team says goodbye to the national team break, where almost a dozen Magdeburg players are in action.
