SC Magdeburg remains unbeaten in the Daikin Handball Bundesliga and wins 24-22 at TSV Hannover-Burgdorf. The reactions and statistics of the game.

TSV coach, Christian Prokop: “Congratulations to Benno and SCM on the two intensively fought points. SCM has size and beam combat and a squad that is second to none. If we defend the duels like that, if my team throws everything into it, then I have great respect for it. Unfortunately, we make too many easy mistakes in the end and can’t take the points like we have done in recent years.”

Bennet Wiegert: “Of course we are super happy. I know how it has felt here in recent years. Now it’s better. But an 8-8 at half-time – these are more the games our parents told us about. But that was us and the many free chances we missed. But the way we come out of half-time is cool. We throw everything into it and the momentum slips to us. Nevertheless, it will be close again. How well we do that in the end speaks for us. Oversized praise for the team and the performance of the last few weeks.”

Felix Claar: “That was an extremely difficult game. The atmosphere here was great and Hannover was able to draw energy from it. In the first half, we had a lot of problems offensively, we tried a lot, but failed too often against Simon Gade. In the second half we came back stronger and I’m extremely happy that we won this here. This week was very special and I’m extremely proud of the team in all the games we’ve had now. Four wins were the goal – and we managed to do that.”
