SC Magdeburg wins the game of the eleventh matchday in the Daikin Handball Bundesliga against the Rhein-Neckar-Löwen with 28:24. The reactions and statistics of the game.

Maik Machulla, Rhein-Neckar-Löwen coach: “Congratulations to SCM. It’s strong what the club has worked for in recent years. Of course, we’re disappointed with the outcome because we played a good game over 50 minutes, found good answers and defended passionately. In the phase where Magdeburg gets closer, however, we leave too much behind and are not cool enough in front of goal. Nevertheless, I’m proud of my team and the fight they showed here.”

Bennet Wiegert: “We started extremely well, had the feeling of being fully involved and kept it at eye level for a long time – then we gave away the first half and missed a lot of good chances. We have to work a lot, up front and at the back. Nevertheless, we keep calm, no one has to save the world alone and we stick together. Then we’ll give ourselves back our faith and get the points.”

Elvar Örn Jonsson: “In the first half we missed too many chances, we did better after the break and Sergey made a really good save. We just had to keep going and play our game. The crowd played a huge part in this victory.”
