The SCM YoungsterS remain unbeaten in front of their home crowd. In the third home game of the season, the Magdeburgers received SV 04 Plauen-Oberlosa and won 41-30 (22-12). This was the third home win in a row for the YoungsterS.
From the beginning, the Magdeburgers convinced above all with a very strong defense. From the defense, the YoungsterS came into the tempo game again and again and used their chances consistently. Already in the first, the team pulled away clearly early on. The team was also extremely confident in the finish. The high scoring rate and the consistent tempo game ensured that the YoungsterS were able to continuously extend their lead. After a convincing first half, they went into the break with a 22-12 lead.
Goalkeeper Oskar Stieglitz also played a big part in the strong performance, showing a very strong performance over about 50 minutes. At the same time, the home victory was definitely the result of a united team performance. Even after the change of ends, the YoungsterS did not let up. The team remained concentrated, continued to play at a high pace and convinced both in defense and attack. With a view to the A-youth game the next day in Kiel, the younger players were also relieved accordingly.
The YoungsterS dominated the game, so that in the end a sovereign 41:30 home victory was on the scoreboard.
“That was a perfect game for us, so to speak. The goal was to have as many points as Plauen after the game, and we achieved that,” was the conclusion of coach Christoph Theuerkauf after the game.
With this success, the YoungsterS can celebrate their third home win in a row and are now in fourth place in the table with 6:2 points.
Next Saturday, September 26, the YoungsterS will play another away game. At 5 p.m., the team will be guests at DHK Flensborg.
