After three video episodes, the view of life around SC Magdeburg in the new podcast format is now even more intense and personal. In the first episode, SCM head coach and managing director of sport Bennet Wiegert is a guest.
The focus continues to be on the people who make up the club: players, coaches, employees and those responsible give insights into their everyday life away from the handball field. It is about personal stories, routines, challenges and perspectives. It’s about what characterises professional sport, but often remains invisible in the game.
In the new audio format, space is created every two months for conversations that go deeper. Authentic, approachable and unfiltered, “Off Court – the podcast from SC Magdeburg and radio SAW” tells of the paths behind SCM’s successes – directly from club life and the people who shape it.
Right at the start, listeners can expect a real highlight. In the studio, presenter Stephan Michme welcomes SCM head coach and managing director sports Bennet Wiegert. How does he deal with setbacks? How can the coach be coached? How does he classify himself as a player and to what extent does his experience as a player help him now in his coaching career? How does SCM become the family it is? What about the time for his own family and what actually connects him to Kylian Mbappé?
