After the season is before the season. As soon as the current season is over, the focus is already on the future again. In July, SC Magdeburg will start pre-season and will also host some test matches in the region.
With the German championship and two Final4 participations, the 2025/26 season was very successful for SC Magdeburg. Hungry it is now going into the next season. Head coach Bennet Wiegert will bring his team back together on 20 July. This is followed by the usual performance diagnostics as well as the first athletic, strength and handball sessions.
Above all, however, there are also some test matches coming up again, where fans can experience the German champions up close. Whether in Halle, Ilsenburg, Aue, Eisenach or at the big season opening for the Hummel Cup in Magdeburg: The events offer not only sporting highlights, but also the opportunity for personal encounters with the players, autographs and selfies. There will also be a varied supporting programme.
The first title will be at stake on 22 August, when Magdeburg, as German champions, will play against the DHB Cup winners Füchse Berlin for the Rexel Super Cup .
