SC Magdeburg remains victorious in the Champions League

Six out of six! SC Magdeburg wins against HC Eurofarm Pelister 36-26 (19-13) on Thursday evening and remains unbeaten in the Machineseeker EHF Champions League.
The start went directly according to plan. First, Sergey Hernandez saved a shot from North Macedonia, then Omar Ingi Magnusson scored from seven yards. Next action, similar picture: The save was followed by the counter-attack and SCM took a 2-0 lead (4th), shortly afterwards it made it 6-3 (9th).
Pelister took the time-out and acted more structured and patient in the following attacks. In the 12th minute, the team had reduced the deficit to 6-5. But the Magdeburg defense remained focused – especially goalkeeper Hernandez, who once again defused the opponent’s shots. This laid the foundation to extend the lead again. After a good quarter of an hour, Tim Hornke scored a brace to make it 11-7 (17th), shortly before the break Felix Claar increased the lead to 19-13.
The second half began with a goal by Magdeburg (20-13, 33rd), but a few inaccuracies led to the lead shrinking to 20-16 (34th). But the short phase was quickly overcome, and in the 45th minute, SCM even increased the lead when first Omar Ingi Magnusson scored to make it 27-19 and then Elvar Örn Jonsson to make it 28-19.
In the last quarter of an hour, it was still the team around coach Bennet Wiegert who dominated the game film. And at the latest when Sebastian Barthold scored the 32-22 (52nd), it was clear that SC Magdeburg would not give up a point in the Champions League in the sixth game either.
