Conditions of participation for the half-time match of SC Magdeburg in cooperation with Ambulanzmobile

  1. Organizer

The organiser of the half-time match is the

Handball Magdeburg GmbH
Heinz-Krügel-Platz 3

hereinafter referred to as the “Organiser”.

  1. Subject of the half-time match

The organizer will hold a half-time match as part of selected home games of SC Magdeburg (Handball Bundesliga).

During the half-time break of the respective home game, the participant is given the opportunity to throw a handball from a fixed distance at a target specified by the organizer (ambulance).

If the throw hits the specified target (the ball remains in the ambulance), the participant wins 100 euros (or the already existing jackpot + 100 euros).

If the target is not hit, the jackpot for the next home game, where the half-time game is played again, will be increased by 100 euros each.

The applicable jackpot amount will be announced before the start of the game or as part of the application for the respective home game.

  1. Eligibility

All natural persons who, at the time of participation, are eligible to participate.

  • are at least 18 years old,
  • are resident in Germany,
  • accept the terms and conditions of participation and
  • have a valid e-mail address and the contact details required for the implementation of the game.

Employees of the organiser as well as persons directly involved in the organisation and implementation of the half-time match and their relatives living in the same household are excluded from participation. The organizer may exclude other persons if there is an objective reason for doing so.

Participation is only possible once per person and home game.

The organizer reserves the right to request proof of age. If eligibility cannot be proven, the person may be excluded from participation.

  1. Application and selection of the participant

The application for the half-time match is made online via the application form provided by the organizer.

For the application, the data marked there as mandatory information must be provided completely and truthfully.

From the applications received, the organizer will randomly select one person for the respective home game. There is no entitlement to participation or selection.

The selected person will be notified via the e-mail address provided during the application or by telephone.

If the selected person cannot be reached within the deadline set by the Organiser or if he or she does not confirm his or her participation in time, the Organiser may select another person from the applications received.

  1. Tickets and companion

The selected person will receive two tickets for the respective home game.

One of the tickets is intended for the selected person himself. The second ticket can be passed on to a self-chosen accompanying person.

The tickets entitle the holder to attend the respective home game, but do not entitle you to specific seats.

A payout or other replacement of the ticket value is excluded.

Participation in the half-time match itself is reserved exclusively for the selected person. It is not possible to transfer the right to participate to the accompanying person.

  1. Implementation of the half-time match

The selected person must go to the meeting point communicated by the organizer before the start of the match and follow the instructions of the organizer and the persons entrusted with the implementation.

The half-time match takes place on the pitch during the half-time break of the respective home game.

The participant receives three throws with a handball provided by the organizer.

The distance to the target as well as the exact nature and size of the target will be determined by the organizer before the respective game and announced before the start of the throw.

The throw is considered successful if the handball hits the target set by the organizer according to the rules announced before the start of the game (the ball remains in the ambulance).

The decision as to whether a hit has been made by the organiser or the person entrusted with the implementation of the match. The decision is binding for the implementation of the game.

  1. Win and Jackpot

In the event of a successful hit, the participant wins the jackpot set for the respective home game.

The jackpot is 100.00 euros at the beginning of the game.

If the jackpot is not won at a home game, it increases to 200.00 euros for the next home game where the half-time game is played.

If the jackpot is not won at the following home game either, it will increase again by 100 euros each.

The organizer will announce the current jackpot amount before the respective half-time game.

The prize is paid out as a sum of money. There is no cash payment directly on the pitch.

The payment will be made after the respective home game to a bank account to be specified by the winner. A payment in another form can be made after consultation with the organizer.

The entitlement to the prize is non-transferable and cannot be converted into any other prize or benefit in kind.

  1. No hit

If the specified target is not hit (the ball does not remain in the ambulance), there is no entitlement to payment of the current jackpot.

The jackpot will remain valid for the next half-time game conducted by the organizer or increase according to the previously communicated jackpot regulation.

  1. Abandonment, modification or cancellation of the half-time match

The organizer reserves the right to cancel, interrupt, change or abandon the half-time match at short notice for good cause.

In this case, there is generally no entitlement to a replacement prize or compensation.

  • violate these Terms and Conditions or the Stadium Regulations,

Participation in the half-time game is generally at your own risk.

The organiser is liable without limitation for damages resulting from injury to life, limb or health as well as for damages based on an intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty by the organiser, its legal representatives or vicarious agents.

For damages caused by slight negligence, the organizer is only liable in the event of a breach of essential contractual obligations and only in the amount of the foreseeable, typically occurring damage.

Liability under mandatory statutory provisions remains unaffected.

  1. Data protection

The personal data collected in the context of the application will be processed by the organiser for the implementation and processing of the half-time match.

This may include, in particular, first and last name, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth or age confirmation as well as other information requested in the application form.
