What makes handball special for you?

It’s a multifaceted sport. You need strength, speed, endurance, agility, feel for the ball – you have to coordinate a lot of things at the same time. In addition, there is a very special emotion and cohesion for me in handball. In my opinion, the entire handball family radiates that nationwide.

What do most people on the pitch overlook that makes you who you are?

No one is likely to be on the field exactly as they are in private. We all have little peculiarities. Everyone plays their part. But for me, it’s always important to do my thing – regardless of what others think. For me, it’s about the team and joint success. I also think I’m a pretty good defender. Bennet Wieger has also recognized this in the meantime, but not yet definitively. Let’s see if I can show that more often in the future.

Your tip for young up-and-coming handball players?

I think the most important thing is to find something that you are really passionate about. Something that you enjoy and develop a real passion for. Once you have found that, you can and should pursue your dreams. Maybe not with too high expectations at the beginning, but step by step – and then take everything you can.
