What makes handball special for you?
For me, it’s the team idea that is paramount in handball. I wouldn’t be as well off in an individual sport as I would be in the team. Cohesion is the absolute highest good for me and that’s why I feel so comfortable here.

What do most people on the pitch overlook that makes you who you are?
I recently became aware of a small peculiarity in me. When I get a bounce, I always make such a gesture with my hands to calm the situation. This happens automatically for me now and I didn’t really notice it myself.
Your tip for young up-and-coming handball players?
There are many. The most important thing is to keep at it, have fun, go to the gym often and train a lot – and that in combination. Training is not everything, you also have to be up for handball and give everything. When you’re having fun, though, a lot comes by itself.
