Wiesenhof expands its commitment to SCM

Wiesenhof is expanding its activity in the SCM family for the new season and is moving up from bronze to silver partner. This means that Germany’s number one poultry brand, which can already look back on a sixty-year history, will be even more present at home games in the GETEC Arena.

“SC Magdeburg not only shows outstanding performance on the pitch and has a passionate fan base, but also reliable sponsorship partners. I am proud that Anhaltinische Geflügelspezialitäten has been part of the SCM family since 2018,” says Michael Schönewolf, Managing Director of Anhaltinische Geflügelspezialitäten based in Möckern.

His goal is to use the sponsorship to position himself as an attractive employer in the region: “Down-to-earthness and regional ties unite SC Magdeburg and the Wiesenhof location. The fact that we remain loyal to the team as a sponsor is a clear, regional commitment for us. This is where our roots are and this is where we want to take responsibility.”

Managing Director of Handball Magdeburg GmbH Mark Henrik Schmedt: “With its location in Möckern, Wiesenhof has been a reliable partner for us for years and is therefore firmly anchored in the region. With the significant expansion of the commitment, the Wiesenhof brand will gain a considerable presence at SC Magdeburg. We are very happy to have tied this national brand, which is also strongly represented in football, ice hockey and basketball, even more intensively to SC Magdeburg.”

Anhaltinische Geflügelspezialitäten is a subsidiary of the PHW Group, a third-generation family business headquartered in Visbeck Rechterfeld (Lower Saxony). More than 45 subsidiaries belong to the group of companies, which is best known for the poultry brand Wiesenhof and the vegan brand Green Legend.
