Magdeburg is merciless when they get to six meters. Then we take the problems with us into the attack, with Magdeburg covering outstandingly. With the seven-on-six, we do much better in the second half. We can keep the result within limits for us.”
Bennet Wiegert: “I’m very, very happy with our first half. How we start, how we defend, how we take on the duels – that fits. We will perform as I imagine. That changes in the second half. We can present ourselves better in seven-on-six. Nevertheless, it remains a win against a good Bundesliga team and we will take that with us.
Gisli Kristjansson: “Eisenach did very well with the power play, we had to deal with that in the second half. Nevertheless, we win here, now have four points – we can stay positive. Above all, it was a lot of fun to play in front of our fans again today.”
Tim Hornke: “That was a clear victory overall. Of course, we could have used one or two more chances or avoided one or two mistakes to win the game even more. We can get a little annoyed about that. On the other hand, the game was never really in danger.”
