Two points to kick things off! SC Magdeburg starts the group stage of the Machineseeker EHF Champions League with a win. Against the French champion Paris Saint-Germain, the final score is 37-31 (21-17).
Both teams were balanced in the early stages. Magdeburg set up, Paris followed up – five minutes played after kick-off it was 4-4. Then, however, the guests were able to take advantage of a double advantage and assert themselves especially over the circle (4-6, 8th).

Seven minutes later, SCM took advantage of a numerical advantage, scored twice into the empty goal – score: 32-25. Paris caught up again (34-30, 55th), but Claar countered directly with his double strike to make it 36-30 (56th) and made the victory prematurely perfect.
