Match-free week? Not with us! Eleven Magdeburgers will be on the road with their respective national teams over the next few days – and SCM fans can also look forward to some internal club duels.

Felix Claar, Albin Lagergren, Oscar Bergendahl and Daniel Pettersson are on the road for Sweden, they will play against Spain on 30 October (18:10 CET) and 1 November (17:30 CET) – in whose ranks SCM goalkeeper Sergey Hernandez will play.

At the well-known Golden League tournament in Trondheim, left winger Sebastian Barthold will represent Norway, where he will play against Denmark (30.10, 18.15 hrs), the Netherlands (1.11, 14 hrs) and the Faroe Islands (2.11, 14 hrs). Magnus Saugstrup has been nominated for Denmark, but the captain of the world champions has decided not to participate for personal reasons.

Lukas Mertens, meanwhile, will play two friendlies with the German national team on 30 October in Nuremberg (19:30 CET) and on 2 November in Munich (17:15 CET). The opponent is Iceland, where Magdeburg’s Elvar Örn Jonsson, Gisli Kristjansson and Omar Ingi Magnusson are in the squad.

In addition, Matej Mandic has been nominated for Croatia and will play friendlies against Switzerland on 30 October (18:45 CET) and 1 November (17:30 CET).
