Thanks for everything, guys!

Some were there for many years, others only for a shorter period. Some were regularly in the spotlight, others did their work more in the background. But success never comes from individual names or goals alone. Success comes from people who take responsibility, put themselves at the service of the team and make their contribution every day.

Christian O’Sullivan led the team as a personality and captain for over a decade. Tim Hornke helped write the club’s history for many years. Sergey Hernández thrilled with emotions and spectacular saves. Nikola Portner contributed his quality and experience. Manuel Zehnder fought his way back onto the pitch after a serious setback. Sebastian Barthold helped the team in a challenging phase with his experience and positive nature. Tim Zechel put himself at the service of the team at all times.

Together, they won titles, experienced great games and created memories that last. They were part of a team that was characterized by cohesion, passion and the common pursuit of success.

Farewells are part of sport. They make it clear that even the most successful chapters come to an end at some point. At the same time, they offer the opportunity to say thank you – for the commitment on the field, for the work in the background, for the shared experiences and for the time in the green and red jersey.

SC Magdeburg would like to thank Manuel Zehnder, Christian O’Sullivan, Nikola Portner, Sergey Hernández, Tim Hornke, Sebastian Barthold and Tim Zechel for everything they have done for our club.

We wish them and their families all the best for their future journey. The doors of the GETEC Arena will always be open for them.
